In the summer of 2015, Tech volunteers worked very hard to install 3 awnings on the Tech Serve Gantry crane. The Gantry Crane is used often at TSI to load and unload large shipments of freight. Volunteers Frank Jevichy and Luke Syverson worked very hard to sand blast the awnings in preparation for this. Both today and yesterday the Tech Serve Team worked very hard loading and lifting the awnings that will protect the pulley system from water and rust on the gantry crane. Once again, a very special thank you to Frank Jevicky for painting the awnings and helping to install them alongside Darrel McGinty, Weston, Luke, and Jacob Syverson. Wes Syverson ran the forklift and supervised the operation, Ben Temple also helped picking up the awnings. Special Thanks to Brady Hansen for providing Tech Serve for the fall protection gear. We praise God we got this done safely! Thanks again to all who helped! Still one more awning to go and this project will be complete!
